Karlovy Vary honors for the festival’s double anniversary put Dustin Hoffman, Juliette Binoche, and cinematographer Robert Richardson in line for Crystal Globes, while Jeffrey Wright takes the President’s Award, The Hollywood Reporter reported. The Czech event’s 60th edition in its 80th year runs July 3-11.
Organizers will present Hoffman’s Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the opening ceremony and screen Mike Nichols’ The Graduate. Binoche receives her Crystal Globe at closing, with Certified Copy, Three Colors: Blue, and her documentary In-I in Motion on the program.

Richardson, a three-time Oscar winner for JFK, The Aviator, and Hugo, will join director Jana Hojdová to present the documentary portrait Robert Richardson: The White Devil. Festival notes call him one of the few living cinematographers with three best cinematography Oscars and a signature collaborator for Scorsese and Tarantino.
Wright’s President’s Award cites Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe wins plus an Oscar nomination. KVIFF will screen Basquiat, which he introduced at the 32nd edition. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jesse Eisenberg were already booked as President’s Award honorees for the same anniversary slate.
